Stylish smartwatch with great functionality I bought this watch over Thanksgiving when it was on sale 30% off ($178.00). I thought at the price of $178.00 this was very competitively priced with other smartwatches, and significantly cheaper than many of them. This is the first smartwatch I have owned. The watch uses Android Wear 2.0. I currently use a Samsung Galaxy S7, so this review is from the perspective of an Android user. The watch can also function using iOS. The watch is IP67 rated for water resistance and has an OLED screen. The design of the watch is great. The watch face is rose gold. To me it almost looks gold, so I’d say it’s a very subtle rose gold. I prefer the leather band for day to day wear, it’s a subtle tan color. The watch looks very professional and stylish. I actually think it’s a cute watch, and one of the few that’s not too bulky for my wrist. I have very tiny wrists, and while the watch is still big, it does not look bad. I clasp the strap on the second to last hole and it fits me well…
Great watch So far I’ve had this watch for a week and I truly love it! I did a lot of research into smart watches before finally decided to purchase this one – I have a Galaxy S7 and unfortunately the Samsung watched aren’t great. I mostly wanted a smart watch that would be able to track my runs with GPS and I’ll admit this is the one function I haven’t tested yet.Pros: Battery life!! – With a full charge I was able to make the watch last for almost two days. I was really only getting notifications and wasn’t running any programs so I’m sure using the GPS to track runs will use up more battery life.Style – I am a small woman with small wrists/hands so a lot of other smart watches look bulky and too large. This watch is very professional and sleek. The color looks exactly like it does in the image, although it’s a bit more golden than rose gold.Functionality – It is easy to use and navigate. I hadn’t planned on using it to text people through but it just happened naturally. Even…
Beware the warrantee! Update: They made it good! I bought this watch for my wife’s birthday gift. Nice watch. She really enjoyed it. After two months, when she took her watch off to charge it at night (requires charging every night) she noticed that the caseback was missing. It had evidently fallen off during the day without her even noticing. This rendered the watch unusable as all the internals are exposed. Very surprised and dissapointed. The casebacks on water resistant watches should be very secure.Went to the Fossil website for warrantee repair, only to find that the caseback has no warrantee at all. I will need to ship it to Fossil and pay $45 for the repairs. Reaching out to Fossil customer service was a complete waste of time. This is the first and last Fossil watch I will buy. Way too many options on the market for smartwatches.Update: 07/19/18 Fossil Customer Service did follow up and replaced the watch.
